Kumba cared for my son Chris, for 2 years starting when he was 3 months old. It’s never easy leaving your child, let alone your 3 month old with anyone, but Kumba made it easy. There wasn’t a day that went by when I ever worried about him in any capacity. As Chris got older, it was clear that he was extremely happy at Growing Sprouts. From the many friends he made, to the pure fact I had to trick him into leaving everyday, it was clear how lucky we were to have our son attend this special place. What makes Growing Sprouts so special is Kumba. Kumba is an incredible caregiver; she is patient, loving, and intentional. Each child is treated with so much love and is given the opportunity to really grow and develop. One of the things I loved so much about my experience was how excited Kumba got about my son’s development over the years. I felt like I had someone who truly cared about the person he was becoming and the milestones he was reaching. We love Kumba and recommend Growing Sprouts with all our heart!

Miss Kumba provides an incredibly loving environment in her home daycare. Our son, Michael, felt like he was home with family every day he was at Growing Sprouts Daycare. This feeling gave us such great peace of mind as we were new to Trumbull and eager to find a safe, loving daycare for our baby. It was clear from the time we went on the tour that Growing Sprouts was the place for us! We are so grateful we found Kumba. Her love for Michael was always apparent, he was happy to be with her every day. Nothing makes you feel better as a parent who works outside the home than knowing your baby is well cared for and loved while you are at work. We would recommend Growing Sprouts Daycare and Miss Kumba to anyone looking for a loving and well-run home daycare. It's one of the best childcare experiences we've had in our 12 years of raising children. Thank you for all you do, Miss Kumba!

I've had the pleasure of working with (prior at Yale), getting to know, and now entrusting the care of our little Molly with Kumba at Growing Sprouts. Molly is excited to go off to school in the mornings and speaks so excitedly about her day with us. I've always known Kumba to be an intelligent, talented, caring, kind and encouraging individual and now, our daughter Molly knows it too! She is thriving at Growing Sprouts, I highly recommend to anyone searching for a unique, caring, learning environment for their little ones. We love Kumba!

Our daughter, Eleanor has been attending Growing Sprouts since she was 3 1/2 months old. When we started our daycare search, we knew we wanted to find a smaller in-home day care that our daughter can interact with other kids in a caring, loving, educational environment. We couldn't imagine a better place for her to spend her days while we are at work! Kumba not only treats her like family, but is extremely attentive to her needs. She is flexible with our work schedule and the best part is, Eleanor responds to Kumba's voice/face in such an excited way. You can tell Kumba genuinely loves her job. We are confident that we are leaving our daughter in great hands and look forward to seeing her continued development with Kumba. It is evident that Kumba goes beyond childcare and offers several educational services. She certainly feels more like family and we call on her for advice as well. We highly recommend Growing Sprouts to any parent!

Growing Sprouts has been such a blessing for us. Mrs. Kumba Hinds is a nurturing, well educated and caring woman, who encourages our daughter to grow and learn more. We are so pleased that our daughter is exposed to such a creative environment where she can develop social skills, learn, read, dance, explore and play. Mrs. Hinds is a flexible and knowledgeable caregiver and is a great influence in our daughter's young life. She has exceeded our expectations and we have a great sense of security knowing our little one is in good hands.

If our 2.5 year old son could write a testimonial it would say: "Kumba, YAAAAAA- Let's Play!" followed by a huge hug to Mrs. Hinds. If you are interested in more detail though, please read on. Growing Sprouts is a place where our son can play, learn, draw pictures, explore, sing, dance, jump in leaves and most importantly just be himself. When we were looking for a daycare it was necessary that we find a place that: - was nurturing - had a friendly atmosphere - was well organized and clean - had flexibility - and shared our philosophies on raising young children. We found all of that and more! As parents, we wish that we would not need the services of a daycare for our children but the reality is that some of us do and subsequently we are faced with the ever so important decision of finding a facility that will provide the love and care that they deserve, and gives us parents the peace of mind knowing that while we are away from them that they are being loved, that they are safe and secure and are learning to about the wonderful world around them. Growing Sprouts has more than met my expectations in these areas and I feel very fortunate to have had found Mrs. Hinds. Mrs. Hinds is more than an educator and care giver, she is an extended part of our family- and that is a rare find in daycares today. Today when I pick Owen up from Growing Sprouts he will greet me at the door with a huge smile then grab my hand and lead me to the playroom to show me all the exciting things he has accomplished today. To me that is more than an accomplishment, that is a gift.

Mrs. Hinds took GREAT care of our three children, then ages 2, 9 and 13. My husband and I had very hectic schedules, and worked long hours but she was always willing to keep the children for an extra hour or two when needed. We loved the flexibility of her services! She is truly a mom at heart!

Mrs. Hinds' extensive professional background in education is what originally drew me to her services, but it was her gentle guidance and loving manner that kept me coming back! It is clear that she is passionate about her role as a caregiver and an educator, this is evident in the nurturing interaction that I have witnessed between her and my daughter as well as in the nurturing interactions that I have witnessed between her and her own two daughters, two very accomplished Ivy League women who have seemingly inherited their mother's grace and charm. While working with the children, Mrs. Hinds' expectations are always very clear and unwavering and her structured daily program and curriculum is fun-filled, inspired and creative with tons of opportunities for individualized attention for each child - this is the type of learning environment that my daughter thrives in best. This home based school is certainly the best bridge option between home and kindergarten that Trumbull has to offer. I wish that we lived in Trumbull full-time in order to take advantage of being here every day. My daughter now begs for visits with Mrs. Hinds! We are both thrilled about this amazing little school! -Mom of Phoenix
